Reading Helious is free and stays free. Starter is $14.99 a month for live news plus the Treasury curve 60 minutes behind. Pro is $39.99 a month for every market price live: yields, commodities, equities, FX, plus the terminal, the squawk audio and 24 months of history. Ultimate is $99 a month and adds 10 years of history, a streaming WebSocket and a commercial licence. Every paid plan is 25 per cent cheaper paid annually.

What is the difference between Starter and Pro?

What goes live. Starter carries the news and prints live through the API and the MCP server, with US Treasury yields and the curve 60 minutes behind and no other market prices. Pro puts every price live: yields, commodities, equities, FX, volatility and correlations, and adds the Helious terminal itself: the live feed, alerts and watchlists, and the squawk that transcribes Fed press conferences as they are spoken. Pro also doubles the history window to 24 months.

Is there a free version of Helious?

Yes, and it is not a trial. Without any account you get 1 day of history with news an hour behind, which is enough to wire up an agent and try every endpoint. A free account raises that to 7 days with a rate budget of your own. Neither free tier carries market prices: those start on Starter. Every plan sees the same endpoints and the same response shapes.

Do I pay extra for API or MCP access?

No. There is no separate agent charge on any plan. A Pro subscription includes the REST API and the MCP server at the same live tier as the terminal, and an integration built on the free tier keeps working unchanged after an upgrade. Setup takes about two minutes: see helious.io/ai.

What am I actually paying for?

Things measured here and published nowhere else free. The auction tail against the when-issued yield, which needs the market level seconds before the bidding deadline and appears in no official file.
